Origin and Process
The fractal images shown in FRACTALINA belong to geometric objects generated from iterations with functions, variations and mathematical transformations.
Only through the computer can we visualize the shapes of these mathematical systems and even explore their dynamics, study their orbits and scrutinize their attractors, as well as play with them.

Rendering and Resolution.
The process of making visible, through endless series of numbers, these sets of points that are represented on the image plane is called rendering.
This rendering process has different phases and mainly needs a lot of time and computational power, especially for some objects of special complexity or those that may contain many elements or symmetries.
Even in «simple» objects created from a few variations or elements, the process can be tedious to achieve clarity and homogeneity in the fine structure of the image.
The generation of the renderings of these images becomes even more complicated if the final objective is the printed reproduction of the object at the highest quality available and at giant size.
FRACTALINA employs great resources to perform this process, taking even weeks to generate a single image at the highest quality for large format resolutions.
All FRACTALINA reproductions are created from images with supreme quality of resolution and extreme detail, which have been achieved thanks to new renderings generated in recent years.

The Mandelbrot Set
A challenge to computation.
The advance of technology together with our experience, has allowed us to get our version of the Mandelbrot Set to acquire the appropriate structure and sharpness, with a higher resolution so that it could be printed in the highest definition. In this way, we can offer all our objects, in addition to this incredible mathematical «being», in giant size and thus discover all the richness they contain.
